About Hooked on Fencing
Greater Cleveland's premier fencing club since 2001
Our Story
Hooked on Fencing has been Greater Cleveland's premier fencing club since 2001. What started as a small group of enthusiasts has grown into one of Northeast Ohio's most active fencing communities, welcoming fencers of all ages and skill levels.
Founded as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our mission is to make the sport of fencing accessible to everyone. We believe that fencing builds character, confidence, and community — values that extend far beyond the strip.
Our facility is located at 11929 Abbey Rd. Unit A, North Royalton, OH 44133, where we offer group classes, private lessons, camps, and open fencing. We specialize in epee — the most strategic of the three fencing weapons.

Where HoF Athletes Go
The proof is in the results. Our members don't just fence here — they go on to compete at the highest levels.
Lauryn DeLuca
2016 Rio Paralympic Games
Lauryn began her fencing career right here at Hooked on Fencing, facing the unique challenges of cerebral palsy before transitioning to wheelchair fencing. She became a three-time national champion in Women's Wheelchair Fencing and represented the United States at the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games — one of the greatest achievements in our club's history.
HoF fencers have gone on to compete in college fencing programs across the country.
...and many more. Being a competitive fencer can open doors at colleges that may otherwise be out of reach — athletic recruitment is a real advantage in the admissions process, even when full scholarships aren't on the table.
